Ross worked in the building industry for 17 years, most of this time as a Trade Sales Representative for Placemakers Hamilton.  Having been in pastoral ministry for over 20 years now, his belief in God’s call to pastoring in the local church is as strong as ever.  They love Fairfield Baptist Church and have been pastoring there since 2017.
Ross is passionate to see people connected to Jesus and having a growing relationship in him. Every person wants to experience hope. We do not hope for what we already have. So as we connect with Jesus (the only REAL hope) we are more able and equipped to handle the complexities of life. Ross believes the local church is an avenue through which people can find this hope and connection.
We have a team of Elders, Deacons and staff who as a leadership team meet regularly for planning, accountability and prayer.
Ross and Karyn work together with couples needing relationship counselling and pre-marriage counselling; also in suicide bereavement and intervention.
Karyn has a midwifery and nursing background and supports in church work in areas including children’s ministry, community work and administration. They have three adult children (Natasha and Eddie, Braden and Georgia, and Daniel and Kendall) plus seven amazing grandchildren (Maia, Jayden, Azariah-Grace, Quinn, Isabelle, Romeo and Louis) who all light up their life with their enthusiasm and joy.
